WELLINGTON
BRABHAM,
son of Walter and Maria Brabham, was born in Morgan Co. Oct. 21, 1844. Went out Oct. 1, 1864, in Co. L, afterward
Co. H, 1st Ohio Cav. He was
never sick or wounded or captured during his service. Was with Genl. Wilson in his raid upon Selma
and Montgomery Ala. Was discharged (on
surgeon’s certificate) on account of rheumatism June 28, 1865 at Edgefield
Tenn.
JAMES
FISH, son
of James and Alice Fish, was born in Columbiana Co. O. Nov. 6, 1838. Went out in Co. L, 1st O. Cav.
Christmas 1863. Was taken sick in
Tennessee in March 1864, with small-pox and lay in hospital several
months. Rejoined his regiment on
recovery and continued in service in Tenn.
Never wounded or prisoner.
WILLIAM
FISH, son
of James and Alice Fish, was born in Washington Co. O. Feb. 19, 1842. Enlisted a few days after his brother James
in Co. F, 1st O. Cav. In no
battles. Was taken sick with measles
shortly after enlistment and died at Nashville Tenn. in Jan. 1864. Was buried near the city.
JOHN
LIGHTFOOT,
son of John and Susanna Lightfoot, was born in Warren Tp., Sept. 28, 1844. Went out in the early part of 1864, in the 1st
O. Cav. Has had no serious sickness or
wounds. Was taken prisoner in Tennessee
by some rebel cavalrymen, but giving them the “slip,” escaped by the fleetness
of his horse.
THOMAS
PATTEN, son
of Owen and Ann Patten, was born in Warren Jan. 16, 1824. Went out in Co. L, 1st O. Cav.
Sept. 16, 1861. Had several months
sickness during the term of service; but was never wounded or captured. Continued through to the end of his term of
enlistment in the various service of his regiment and was discharged at the
regular period.
NATHAN
PRYOR, son
of Henry and Anna Pryor, was born in Noble Co. O. April 20, 1840. Went out Sept. 11, 1861, in Co. L, 1st
O. Cav. Had the measles before leaving
camp; also four months sickness at Corinth Miss. And in Alabama with fevers,
three kinds in succession. Was detailed
as Orderly for Inspector General in winter of 1864 and 5, and continued in service
with his Company..
ABSALOM
ROUSH, JR.,
son of Absalom and Nancy Roush, was born in Warren Tp. Feb. 1, 1847. Went out with his brother in Co. H, 1st
O. Cav. Was never wounded, sick, or
prisoner. Served through his term and
was discharged at Nashville, June 17, 1865.
WILLIAM
H. ROUSH,
son of Absalom and Nancy Roush, was born in Warren Tp. Aug. 18, 1839. Went out Sept. 30, 1864 in Co. H, 1st
O. Cav. Never wounded or prisoner. He suffered much from sickness while in
service and received his discharge by reason of surgeons certificate June 17,
1865 at Nashville Tenn. He had
previously been out in Co. H, 148th O.N.G. and lay sick six weeks at
City Pt. With typhoid fever; was discharged with his Company.
JOSEPH
J. RUMBOLD,
son of Charles and Elizabeth Rumbold, was born in Warren June 6, 1844. Went out in Co. L, 1st O. Cav.
Oct. 5, 1864. Was taken sick with camp
disease, followed by pneumonia, and sent to Camp Dennison, where he died Feb.
13, 1865, and was buried in the Soldiers Cemetery.
WILLIAM
J. STAGE,
son of James and Amy Stage, was born in Cumberland Co. Penn. Oct. 15,
1824. Went Oct. 3, 1864 in Co. H, 1st
O. Cav. Had a severe sickness of six
weeks with fever at Edgefield Tenn. early in the summer of 1865. Rejoined the regiment and continued with it
in service. Was never wounded or
captured.
WILLIAM TUNNECLIFF, son of Joseph and Catharine Tunnecliff, was
born in Alleghenny Co. Penn. Nov. 10, 1833.
Went out in Co. K, 1st O. Cav. Nov. 1861 Was never sick, wounded, or captured. Was detached Jan. 1865 as clerk in Q. M. Dpt.
At Chattanooga, and has remained there till he came home on furlough. Has just rejoined his company who are now
awaiting discharge in Tennessee as veterans.
